New 8 channel system for the ultrasonic testing of thickness of wall polyethylene pipe during manufacture.

On May 23 th 2007 with assistance of company " Stroigeotehnika" at the enterprise " Teplostroiservice" from Tolyatti the new version inspection systems for a wall of a polyethylene pipe has been started in operation. The new version inspection systems is constructed on essentially new circuitry and the mechanic. The supply/tap and pressing of gauges to a pipe is provided by means of modern pneumatic devices. As electronic device-it is used new industrial thickness gauge with the touch display.

As well as earlier as radiating elements special slot-hole transducers with nominal frequency 2,5 MHz, developed by company " Kropus " are used. Mutual cooperation with firm «AmatiAkustika" has allowed to receive the optimal characteristics of a signal for the testing of polythene over the big range of thickness.

For gathering water the stationary bath is used, a special design on which the skeleton of a mechanical part of inspection systems fastens. The system of positioning allows exposing strictly the center of a mechanical part of the monitoring system, according to a design extrusion.
On the screen schedules of thickness on each channel of the testing and geometry of an internal surface of a pipe are displayed.

Owing to a new design of a mechanical part there was an opportunity to supervise the wide nomenclature of pipes: from 160 up to mm. At small diameters 4 transducers are brought to a pipe only, at diameters 300 and more - all 8 transducers.
