UKVS-1 Inspection system for water content

Inspection system UKVS-1 is intended for non-destructive ultrasonic testing water content in cellular airplane units IL-86, IL-96, IL-76, ТU-204, АН-124 ("Ruslan"), etc., and also helicopters MI-28N, МI-24 and so forth under operating conditions. The water which has got in units reduces durability of glue joints, causes corrosion of a foil of honeycomb, leads to increase weight and to change of centering of units and at water freezing - to a separation of a covering from cellular filler or to unit destruction. The presence testing, definition of the locations and a quantity of water in glued cellular designs of planes is one of the important problems in safety of flights of planes and helicopters.

Differential characteristic

• Use flaw detector UD2V-P46 or UD4-Т as the high-precision measuring module;
• The testing is carried out, as on the units removed from the plane in the conditions of a hangar, and are direct by the plane on periodic forms of maintenance service;
• Materials of coverings and honeycombs - as metals (aluminum, its alloys, etc.), and nonmetals - composite materials;
• Thickness of coverings 0,4-2 mm, the size of cellular cells 2,5-5 mm;
• Locality of the testing - 5 mm, is found out water in a separate cellular cell;
• High sensitivity of a method - the minimum found out water level in a cellular cell - from 0,5 mm.

• Local immersion a bath;
• Industrial the high-frequency immersion transducer;
• The pump with system water delivery in a local bath;
